Merry Merry X' mas!!

Snow man!

The Christmas party held by the student union. I didn't get to join them from the beginning last year, so this year I had my wish fulfilled. The first activity is the making of sweet dumplings, and instead of making the traditional round ones, we made cubes, triangles, hearts and other different kinds of shapes.
Lerler, who showed up earlier in the puzzle contest, was the vocalist and the keyboard player of Tiger Band. Small Eyes was the guitarist. Louis, the second vocalist and the only girl in the band. This was the first time I heard her sing closely, and it was really great. Cripple was the drummer.
Old Dad (I couldn't think of a better translation of his nickname><) was the second guitarist and Small Fish (he hates this name, haha) was the bassist.

Encore!

Marching Band

I love the new purple flags. Go perfect with the slow, graceful music.

Performance from the Army Academy School.

Performance by the special guests from Japan.
Yesterday I went as a photographer to see my friend Boubou perform at the 2007 Chiayi International Band Festival. I joined the school marching band with her when we were freshmen, and I did too stand on the same field last year twirling and tossing the flag in front of thousands of audience. I dropped out this year due to me wanting to concentrate on schoolwork, but I was still eager to see their new technics and performance. The sight of thousands of people in front of us watching our every move still print clearly in my head, and I could still feel my heart pounding rapidly and my hands holding the flag shaking, hoping badly at the same time that I wouldn't drop it and made a fool of myself. Well, this time my only duty was to videotape their performance and enjoy the show. Our school's performance was only about ten minutes, but I knew how much effort they paid for that ten minutes. Great job! You guys are the best!

puzzle!

Today my classmates Lerler and Smalleyes had a puzzle competition at the Idee department store, competiting the speed to finish the puzzle with other seven groups. I was invited to join the contest few months ago, and though I was interested, I turned them down because I wasn't sure with my schedule and the cost for the competition wasn't low. So I became the photographer and the cheerleader. The eight groups included students, couples, and families. After a short opening speech made by the manager of the department store, the fierce competition began.

They were discussing who to do which part.

Finished!

They got a second place! The prize is a one thousand dollars coupon for any puzzle in the store. Congratulations!

The towel

Someone just reminded me that I hadn't updated my blog for a long time, so here I am. The last one month I was in a Hell of the midterm, weeks after weeks, preparing for the endless tests. And besides the tests, we are also preparing for the veterinary derby next year hold in our school. This is an annual event within the four veterinary departments in Taiwan, and next year we are the host, welcoming the veterinary students from other three universities. My work in this event include designing one of the souvenirs, drawing pictures needed for the website, and the decoration of the gathering hall. The logo of a big Chinese character "獸" is the logo I designed for the towel that will be sold as souvenir (this is still a draft without coloring), and I'm very excited to see it sewed on the towel. You may make a reservation to order the towel if you want one!XD

Xiao-bu

Like I said in the previous post, I again asked my classmate Loken to let me keep his lovely kitten Xiao-bu for a few days, and now Xiao-bu is in my room! Besides keeping his old habit of waking people at night, he has gotten a new one: sleeping on my books when I'm trying to study. I ended up giving up the routine of taking him off the table and he jumping on the table again.

He gave me this sleepy face when I took him off my books.

DVM Camp 2

RPG. I have to say, Mr. No is a born actor. He is so hilarious!

Wing (right), one of the photographer, who forgot to charge the battery of her digital camera and had to borrow mine.

The Welcome Camp for the Freshmen1

The exciting freshmen waiting to get on the bus.

The anxious leader and smiling me.

Arrival at the place we held most of our games and shows, an abandoned elementary school.
